Rockford Engineering Works offers simulation and digital prototyping utilizing numerical modeling software from Altair®, leaders in global innovative solutions for data analytics and computer-aided engineering. This technology offers solutions to optimize customers’ structural performance, helps to mitigate design risks, and ensures all codes, safety, deadlines, and cost specifications are met. The Rockford team now has expanded access to multiple simulation tools to tackle complex Multiphysics problems, such as:

  • Discrete Element Method (DEM)

    Modeling software for bulk and granular material flow.

  • Advanced Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Multibody Dynamics (MBD)

    Tools for evaluating and optimizing the strength & durability, and dynamic motion & vibration of complex parts and assemblies.

  • Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)

    Used to predict flow fluids and heat transfer within and around complex geometries.

  • Systems Modeling Software

    Used to represent control systems logic, mechatronics, fluid power systems, and reduced-order models of complex systems using machine learning tools.

Simulation-based design approaches enable design iterations for faster evaluations, with reduced costs and performance risks. Furthermore, digital prototyping enables a deeper understanding of product performance, and the opportunity for Rockford to explore multiple design options further into the engineering process to provide the best value for our customers.
