Scott Konecsni
A. Sc. T.
Surrounded by equipment and machinery all his life, Scott pursued an education as a mechanical designer and draftsman, graduating with a diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Kelsey SIAST. His ability to visualize the way that things work and his experience with machine and fabrication shops allowed him to rise in his industry, moving quickly from draftsperson to project manager. In his career he has handled not only mechanical design, but also the integration of electrical automation; he has taken countless projects from the conceptual stage and led them through calculation, design, fabrication, assembly, and shipping.
Scott’s excellent communication skills allow him to ask the pertinent questions needed during the conceptual stage, listening to his customers’ requirements and wishes, and then develop products that perfectly accomplish their intended purpose, while keeping his clients fully aware of the status of the projects.
Years of cost-estimating and leading one of Canada’s best technical sales teams educated Scott on the intricacies of design and budget; learning how simple and elegant changes can save thousands on the finished product.
“As an Applied Science Technologist, I love learning about the unique needs that each of the projects that I undertake have, and then coming up with creative ways to solve those challenges. I’m in my element when I get to take those ideas and closely follow them through the design, construction, and commissioning cycle.”
